Hughes Capital Partners Acquires Luxury Apartments in Atlanta

HCP has finalized the acquisition of The Jade at Avondale, a 270-unit luxury multi-family property located in Decatur, Georgia

(DALLAS – August 17, 2021) Hughes Capital Partners and Nicholas SunTX RE Partners II have acquired The Jade at Avondale, a 270-unit luxury multifamily property located in the Atlanta suburb of Decatur, GA.

“The Jade is located directly within the path of Atlanta’s exceptional growth and offers residents best-in-class finishes and amenities that will drive renter demand for years to come,” said HCP Principal Jeff Hughes. “This acquisition highlights our focus on leveraging broad economic and demographic trends by focusing on sound real estate.”

Bellevue at Avondale has benefited from tremendous demand, leasing more than 10% of the property each month. The asset offers luxury construction, nearby medial and education centers, attractive affordability dynamics, and nation leading population growth.

Hughes Capital Partners and Nicholas Residential plan to complete the asset’s initial lease-up, stabilize property operations and drive operational efficiencies through Nicholas’ affiliated Bellevue multifamily brand.

The transaction represents Hughes Capital Partners’ second acquisition since launching earlier in 2021, and the second with Nicholas SunTX RE Partners II. The Bluffs at Midway Hollow, a 473-unit luxury apartment complex located in Dallas, TX was also acquired by the two firms in August 2021.
